Party piece

We are having a free seminar at Rosehill next week and Kelly will be going party mad here is a sneak at one of the girlie things we have planned.

Holidays

Hi

Have been away trying to catch up with some sleep - will try harder to keep up to date with this blog...........................

Have done some making as well so will give you a preview before it goes on the web........

Made this using the Maya Road card boxes and the Blush Basic Grey papers - I love these.

Just a tip - when you embellish the card you can't get all 8 back in the box so I used 4 then did the others as separate ones

Wieghts and measures

Don't forget to weigh yourslef and take your measurements - and take a photo.

You can record these on the food diary.

Only weigh yourself once a week - this is a must

Getting motivated and getting started on a fitter you

Hi everyone

Sorry it has been a while I hsave had a few days away with my DH and DDs.

Well now its is time to start on our 8 week fitness challenge - this is a group motivational thing and we all need a bit of moral support.

This is something we can all share - its only 8 weeks and you can feel better about yourself by taking some simple steps with friends.

Al I can do is recount what Kellyand I are going to do. Kelly has joind Weight Watchers as I already go to a gym I am going to keep this up and add in some food control.

We are not dieticians so can't advise you what to eat - you will need to ensure that you are in good health and up to taking part - go and visit your GP it helps to know where you are.

I have attached a food diary to this weeks newsletter - FILL it in every day.

I am giving up chocolate, bisciuts, cake, pastry and chips. I don't drink much alcohol but will have an ocasional G&T.

I do a lot of exercise - one hour a day - well it seems like a lot to me.

Yesterday and today I got up early and walked for one hour - today I am going to do it this evening.

Many people say that 5 x a week is fine - I have walked for ages and if you only have time for 20 minutes thats fine - start with 20 minutes - 3- 5 times this week and gradually work up to it.

Sarah did the top image using the Boho Chic range of papers From Making Memories and Jill used the Dream Street Papers to create the layout.
Pretty specatacular I think!!

Fitness Challenge

Don't forget this starts Monday so get those walking boots out........... and a tape measure.

Will get my head around this and get some guidelines together hopefully tomorrow.

Just waiting the new Lil Davis chipboard and paper - Love Affair - this is beautiful - anyone got any yet?

Tara the owner from Dream Street is going to be our guest on our very first HOT SPOT and she will be hosting our first online class - dates to follow in the next newsletter - I am just trying to get my head around the time differences

Kelly has recieved another 100 products to go on today and she is working overtime to get them on for you.

We also have the new Delish range The rub ons are utterly fabulous and far to cheap........ and her neew "bling" is well just gorgeous

Need some sleep!!

Its now very late and my feet have hardly touched the ground today. So much has been happening this past few days.....Kelly and I got together for a strategy meeting and did some business in Melbourne. We only fitted a couple of hours shopping - running from shop to shop in Chadstone Mall. I got a couple of bargains so ended up a happy gal

Fitness Challenge - Lose 10kgs

Since October I have been trying to stop the rot of middle age spread. I joined a gym and have been working really hard at getting fit. 10 weeks on I am definitely a lot stronger, toned and my stamina is increasing every day. At the end of this month I am joining their 8 week challenge - I aim to lose 10 Kgs in 8 weeks. Ummmmmmmm

If you want to join in let me know and I will post my progress and activities each day - you can follow this with your own regime. 10kgs could change your life and 8 weeks is not long - any chance you believe me talking myself into this.

Kelly is taking part as well although she does not know this

Finished decorating our new ribbon boxes - I really enjoyed doing this. I have used the new Papers from Dream Street Papers and the Maya Road scrolls.

Each box fits 22 ribbon vaieties in it so am busy decorating one for each colour. I am going to finish off the "tips" sheet to go with this and post it later.

They should be in the shop later this week and retail at $12.00.

Best fairy cakes ever

Tried to be a better mother today and made these fairy cakes with DD for our tea - yes we do often have a traditonal English sunday tea.
We all love it.
These are the easiest ones I know;
100g Soft margarine or butter
100g Caster sugar
100g Self raising flour
2 eggs
1 tsp Baking powder
Makes 12
Simply put all the ingredients together in a bowl and beat for 2-3 minutes with an electric whisk.
Put in cake cases and bake for about 15 minutes (200C/400F/Gas 6)

Bridies tin

I promised my 9 year old I would publish her tin. Mo made this for her very good friend Bridie. I think she did a really good job - it was all her own work.

Sizzix fabric flowers

I am on a bit of a roll now and am quite enjoying the fact that I am overcoming a major new challenge.

This was my page for the Scrapapple calendar. I started out a "major fabric freak" and love anything to do with sewing. I used my sizzix machine to create all these flowers. I sandwiched 2 layers together first using vliesofix - to create a bit of substance - then used the flower die to cut them all out.

January Project: Cherished First Memories

This is the January Essential Baby project. I was really pleased with the way this turned out as I went to the wire on it and worked into the wee small hours on it.

I love the new Maya Road tabbed chipboard book and the paper is from the Me and My Minds Eye "Front Porch" collection.

Full instructions can be found at www.essentialbaby.com.au

Emma's tu tu

This is my "test" upload if there is such a thing. Hooray I managed it - I know you experienced bloggers out there may be hiding a chuckle but Kelly is the computer whizz kid around here.

I did this layout ages and ages ago. When I came to upload a layout I realised this is the only one I have a photo of.

Guess what I will be doing tomorrow.

Renee, Kirsten and Rachelle are also on our Design team - I am just adding their names to the RHS
Hi

I am trying hard no to panic - I am committed to getting this blog running by tomorrow.

Sarah and Jill have been helping A LOT. I just sometimes find things really hard to get. I have 2 degrees yet am panicking at not being able to get a photo of me on my home page. Having said that having taken 56 yesterday I still do not have one that makes me look half decent.

Thereby hangs another tale......... See a bit later.......Mind you I am assuming that someone will actually visit here or care that I have no photo.

This is going to be a bit of a mish mash of a blog - we want to keep you up to date with what's going on with Scrapapple but also bring a human side to the business and how we juggle business and our lives, share our creativity and generally have a bit of fun.

Hopefully, as I become more proficient in the art of blogging my blog will improve.....we all have to start somewhere.

Dawn
