What can you get for $2.95 nowadays

How about a square album cover.

Its easy to cover and the great thing is you can make it as thick as you want.

I made this up to record some important things from this year.

Alot of the girls have used it for their circle journal

I have wanted to do one of our Pitchers for ages - I met Carole Jansen at the Gold Coast Craft and Quilt Show and she has inspired me.

I am not sure if this counts as "lifting" as I don't often do that - I just wanted to take a bit of what she does and try and make it my own.

Full intructions are going to go ont he website under Scrapapple projects

My other new handbag

I made this with the new Maya Road Antique purse and the Key Lime Dream Street Papers

Made it for my DD1 who was 14 just before Christmas as a birthday keepsake

Just love it

I have a new camera!!

I have been wanting one for ages - Jill has been trying to convince me to get an all singing SLR digital but I am just not thta kind of gal in the end I went for a simple Olympus - I just want one that takes great images and I can store in my pocket.

I have just been trying to reorganise my photos - aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My handbag

Good Friday

It is pouring down with rain so we have designated today as a "me" day. Every now and again we all need some time to check out of our lives and just do something for ourselves. Today everyone in the family gets to do anything they want - well almost.

DD1 is sleeping.

DD2 has demolished the family room and converted it into a den - I can't even bear to look.

DH is messing around in the garage.

Whilst I have devoted my morning to sewing - I can not remember when I last did this - I love it so much and never get a chance. I bought this pattern at Rosehill and have been desperate to make it.

I adore this handbag totally........

I made it with some Amy Butler fabrics.

Urabn Lily- make it easy

I just had 10 minutes so grabbed the Urban Lily Mini Book sheet - cut it up and sewed down the spine - stuck in some photos of my DDs and away to go off to nanny for a quick pressie.......

At less than $2 this sheet is a bargain - it comes in black and white and colour

Circle Journal

I have now finished my first pages in Karens Journal - it's the first time I have completed something for someone I know only via the internet. I did think it would be hard but - no way - I loved it - I can not remember a time I found an idea so quickly.

Karens theme was fabulous "life lessons" - I am getting on a bit now and have made too many mistakes so perhaps that is why I found it easy.

Karen said we could use any colours but had to include a photo of oursleves - brave girl. I used the one Kirsten took of me for the convention book so I look half decent.

I have no idea what I will be getting next but "bring it on............"
I used the Maya Road tag coaster tin from the coaster tins and Bo Bunny paper - just love this one

I need to win the competition

It's been raining here in Sydney and as my DDs have gorged themselves with chocolate and are now lying prone on the floor - they are alive - I just checked - just exhausted - I have taken some time to get making.

I love the Maya Road purse and am in the process of making one up - here it is so far - just for all you neat freaks out there - please sit down as you see my "WORK IN PROGRESS table. - hey you have to express yourself!!
